My Soul is well pleased

Sometimes you just need to kick your shoes off and put your feet in the water.
To feel the sand between your toes.
To feel the cold water splashing up your leg.
To smile.
To laugh
To enlighten the senses.
To feel alive.

My kids and I paddled today. Simple moments like these are the happiest. To be fully living in the moment, engaging with the ones most dear to you. To see the joy in their little eyes, to hear their innocent laughter. My soul is well pleased.

Moments like these cause me to connect with my creator, my God. I thank Him for all that he has given to me, my children, the sea and sand... He speaks to my soul. I feel blessed and grateful.

JANUARY GRATITUDE PROJECT: Day 11

Im so grateful that I had a daughter. I always wanted lots of daughters and instead ended up with 3 sons. I love that my girl is girly and likes to wear pretty clothes, like this skirt she wore today. I am so so so so thankful for my little girl.

JANUARY GRATITUDE PROJECT: Day 10

Tonight we went to the Park for a BBQ tea. The kids took their bikes, Chi took his tennis rackets and Elias his remote control car. Im so grateful for the long summer evenings, where we can BBQ and spend time doing things together as a family. I just loved seeing all the kids and Todd riding around together. I don't have a bike, I did attempt to play tennis, attempt really is the word. SO much fun!!!

JANUARY GRATITUDE PROJECT: Day 9

I am thankful for stops while on long car trips. This is Mattea at our Campbell Town stop.

Im also thankful for hand-me-downs. Taya was given this dress the day before from her cousin Oskana.

JANUARY GRATITUDE PROJECT: Day 8

I'm very Thankful that my kids get the opportunity to go out in Russell's boat and fish. They love it. They are very blessed to be able to do this so often. I love seeing them out and about enjoying nature. Jazzy threw up not long after this photo... he still loves it :)

JANUARY GRATITUDE PROJECT: Day 7

Im very Grateful for this beautiful spot... HELLYER BEACH

It is beautiful, with the Rocky Cape Hills in the distance and the clean, untouched sand. We love walking along it, we love bodyboarding in the waves, we love playing in the warm beach puddles and we love making sandcastles.

On this day I made sandcastles with my kids. I didnt just watch but I got on my hands and knees and helped. It was precious. I wasn't hiding behind my big camera I was there with them in the moment.  Im so thankful for this opportunity, and that the sun decided to shine for us.

JANUARY GRATITUDE PROJECT: Day 6

Im grateful for lovely teacups and melting moments.

We went to visit Todd's Nan and Pop Ferguson and Bev made us a pot of tea and served it in her lovely teacups. She also bakes the best melting moments.

JANUARY GRATITUDE PROJECT: Day 5

Today we left and drove to Hellyer to stay with Todd's family for a few days. There were so many cars on the road... people returning home after the holidays.

I am so grateful that Todd chose a career where he has the whole of January off, and we can just cruise around, without worrying about being back after Christmas for work. It is the best.

JANUARY GRATITUDE PROJECT: Day 4

Today I am very grateful for my Mum who offered to have the kids for a couple of hours so that Todd and I could have a break.  This was just fabulous!! How amazing are breaks from the kids for a few hours?!?! We went to Birchalls to get some books for Chi's schooling this year and then had lunch together at Jam&Bread in Margate. What a cute cafe!!! It's an old house that someone has converted into a cafe. I went for the Devonshire tea ( I find it hard to resist scones and cream) and Todd had the Tasting Plate, which he loved. We didn't go on facebook while we were there either... challenging....

Thankyou so much mum! And thankyou Todd for helping me choose books and having lunch with me.

JANUARY GRATITUDE PROJECT: Day 3

So thankful for lovely friends. Vincent, Kim and Kids came and had pizza with us today, and they are a pretty amazing family! So grateful that we get to do life with them :)

JANUARY GRATITUDE PROJECT: Day 2

I am ever so Grateful that I live in such a beautiful city, built around a lovely harbor.  We went down to The Taste again today, such a great event for our little Hobart. I've so much to be thankful for today.

We parked at the Cenotaph and caught the free bus to the wharf area, what a great service!!! Thankyou Redline, the kids though this was fantastic, and wanted to sit on the backseat. I loved seeing the excitement that such a simple thing, like catching a bus brought them. Elias said to me, "It's pretty cool Mummy".

Once there I prayed that we would get a table outside overlooking the water, and we did. Thankyou Jesus.

Im so grateful that my husband gets me and is so thoughtful. He knew I would want a pic of me and the kids on this old bridge, and offered to take one without me even asking. Thankyou Toddy.

JANUARY GRATITUDE PROJECT- Day 1

We have had a busy week with the Barker family down for Christmas and we are all pretty exhausted. I was laying on the couch and Malachi asked me if I would like a cup of tea, yes, that would be nice :)

He went away and came back with a cup of tea in my fave tea cup as well as a piece of yummy dark fruit cake. I was so grateful for his thoughtfulness. It's times like this where you realise that you must be doing something right as a parent.
